# What is Advanced Mode?

Voice In takes your audio input, converts it into text, and then inserts the text into the web page. By default, Voice In uses the **Default Mode** to insert text into the web page. Default Mode works on sites with a simple text box, such as Gmail.

However, Default Mode does not work on some sites, such as Facebook. On Facebook, your status message can contain mentions of people, hashtags, and more. For this reason, Facebook uses complex logic to handle text input and display. This makes it difficult for Voice In to insert transcribed text.

To solve this problem, we developed **Advanced Mode**.

Advanced Mode is available only with [Voice In Plus](https://dictanote.co/voicein/plus/).

Advanced Mode uses a more reliable method to insert text. With Advanced Mode, you can use Voice In on many more sites. Voice In uses Advanced Mode by default when you have Voice In Plus.

Advanced Mode enables dictation on many popular sites, such as Twitter, Skype, Facebook, Google Keep, Hubspot, Google Meet, and Notion. See the [list of sites on which Advanced Mode enables dictation](https://dictanote.co/voicein/apps/).

To see the difference that Advanced Mode makes, watch the video below. It shows dictation on Facebook with Voice In, first without and then with Advanced Mode.
